Overview

Good governance, trust, transparency, and the government's ability to effectively implement policies are essential for development progress and poverty reduction.

The Governance & Institutions Umbrella Program (G&I) works alongside donors to enhance the effectiveness and accountability of governments and institutions. Through strategic partnerships and targeted initiatives, G&I strengthens institutional frameworks and promotes transparent governance practices that can effectively address the complex issues facing societies today.

The Program was launched in 2022. It receives generous support from a growing number of development partners, who make its work possible. These valued partners help to fund, collaborate, and share knowledge, resources, and ideas to address common governance challenges. Learn more about G&I's partners.
