Our argues that reducing food loss and waste is no longer a peripheral concern. It is central to achieving food security, advancing climate goals, and creating inclusive growth in the region. For South Asia, the question is not whether change is needed, but how quickly and decisively it can happen. Public and private actors alike have a role to play in strengthening infrastructure, reforming incentives, improving market access, and fostering innovation across the value chain.
With funding from FoodSystems 2030, the continues to serve as the central public knowledge and resource-sharing platform that supports decision-makers in crisis prevention, preparedness, and response, promoting more impactful coordination between critical FNS partners. To date, the Dashboard showcases 50+ indicators that cover up to 194 countries from over 40 partner data providers. To date, it has garnered over 615,000 page views from over 100,000 visitors worldwide. Content and functionality expansions of the Dashboard included: the development and integration of (i) a new AgSupport section showcasing key indicators and global, regional and country-level resources from the AgIncentives Consortium on repurposing agricultural support, (ii) indicators on exposure to land degradation from UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) (iii) indicators on global coverage and adequacy of social protection and data analyses for forthcoming school meals indicators in alignment with the G20 Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty priorities, (iv) ¡®Topics¡¯ pages to provide additional information on key themes and data visualized in the Dashboard; (v) automation and maintenance of data pipelines for key indicators, (vi) new design and user functionalities, including an improved search functionality, and (vii) enhanced knowledge communication and dissemination products and activities.

- With support from FoodSystems 2030, the World Bank is focused on embedding the One Health approach across the institution and in regions worldwide. The Trust Fund is mainstreaming One Health and AMR into country agendas, developing nine One Health diagnostics and supporting integration of these frameworks into national strategies, CCDRs and project design. This includes Central Asia, where advisory and analytical work underpinned the One Health Framework for Action, which aims to contribute to pandemic preparedness, with priority given to zoonoses, antimicrobial resistance, and food safety. The framework also provides an investment roadmap for the region still struggling with the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. In November 2022, five Central Asian countries signed a joint communiqu¨¦ agreeing to adopt the framework, including establishing governance structures and engaging in joint resource mobilization, data sharing, and preparatory work to implement national and regional activities. Advice and analysis funded by FoodSystems 2030 helped lay the groundwork for regional cooperation in Central Asia on pandemic preparedness that prioritizes zoonoses, antimicrobial resistance, and food safety.

- FS2030 is now in an exciting phase of working with countries to help them progress on implementing important reforms. FS2030-financed Repurposing Projects are starting implementation in Bangladesh, Colombia, Ghana, Indonesia, Malawi, Mozambique, and Tanzania. The repurposing team is also supporting over 40 countries with Public Expenditure Reviews and with partner UK FCDO, has co-hosted 15 Policy Dialogues since 2021.
- ¡¤ Provided technical support to seven country teams to accelerate implementation and preparation for repurposing projects. Four projects are under implementation in Bangladesh, Ghana, Malawi, and Tanzania, totaling US$65 million. These projects aim to repurpose fertilizer support programs, while another three in Brazil, Indonesia, and Philippines, totaling US$36 million, aim to repurpose fertilizer support and increase access to finance programs. Meanwhile, FS2030 contributed to 43 agricultural public expenditure reviews to date.
