Kristoffer Welsien is a?Senior Water Supply & Sanitation Specialist based in Washington D.C. After obtaining a Master¡¯s degree in Economics and Econometrics from University of Essex (UK), he has held positions at the UN World Food Program and at the World Bank mainly through an eight-year assignment in East Africa.? Kris has been working on rural water supply with a specific focus on solar photovoltaic water pumping since 2009 and is currently leading the World Bank¡¯s efforts on solar water pumping. He is currently implementing such activities in East Africa while raising awareness and supporting global efforts on solar pumping.
