The primary objective of this Project is to provide IFC with a comprehensive assessment of the commercial and technical aspects of constructing a DRI plant to produce HBI and/or DRI pellets with gas and at later date with green hydrogen in the Philippines by maximizing the use of domestic iron ore and renewable geothermal energy to generate green hydrogen.The project is expected to be completed within 16 weeks. At the end of week 12; the consultant will provide the necessary information and recommendation assessing the feasibility of such project. In the instance the project findings are promising; then IFC and Consultant will have a series of diffusion meetings to create awareness with the key stakeholders including a potential private steelmaker partner; public sector proponent; international technology providers; potential off-takers; iron ore local miners and local experts
