An initiative to protect the forest and create a sustainable future
In the Pehuenche community of El Avellano, women protect the native forest and produce flour, oil, and roasted hazelnuts. Their work not only preserves a vital ecosystem ¡ª it also helps Chile reduce its carbon emissions, securing resources to continue fostering sustainable incomes.
Thanks to projects like this, Chile received 5 million dollars for cutting 1 million tons of emissions. Discover how caring for the forest becomes life, energy, and opportunity for communities.
