Registration for the Annual Meetings is now open. See specific registration categories below for application links and detailed information.

All participants must be accredited prior to badge issuance. Registration is not transferable and on-site accreditation is not guaranteed. There is no registration cost to apply for the Annual Meetings. 

Delegate

Delegates are governmental officials of the member countries of the World Bank Group and IMF, who will register through their respective Executive Director's office. Delegates should inquire with their respective Executive Director's Office for information about registration.

Observer

Guest

Guest applications can be submitted . Guest registration will close on October 3.

Guests fall within the following categories: 

  • Private Sector: Representatives from financial institutions and banks, commercial enterprises, consulting, and contractor firms.

  • Academia: University professors, researchers, faculty members, and students who have research and educational interest in the operations and affairs of the WBG/IMF. Documentation should be submitted with the application (an endorsement letter from the Head of Department or Vice Chancellor of the University) confirming status in the University and stating academic interest.

World Bank or IMF Guest: Attendees should only submit an application to one institution. Duplicate applications will cause a delay in processing both applications and only application will be processed. 

IMF Guests can submit an application online .

NOTE: Bank and Fund staff should not register under the Guest category. Staff registration inquiries should be directed to MeetingsHR@worldbank.org

CSO/Parliamentarian

CSO/Parliamentarian applications can be submitted . Registration for CSO/Parliamentarians will close on October 3.

CSOs include non-governmental organizations, community groups, labor unions, indigenous people’s movements, faith-based organizations, professional associations, foundations, think tanks, charitable organizations, and other not-for-profit organizations. All other participants - such as representatives from the private sector, academia or governmental bodies - must apply for accreditation as a Guest or other relevant registration category.

Parliamentarians include representatives of the people in a legislative body at the national, regional and local levels; representatives of Parliamentary Organizations; and parliamentary staff.

Press

Press applications can be submitted online .

All working Press must have Annual Meetings credentials to attend the Meetings.

To be accredited, you must present one of the following:

1.  Valid press credentials issued by national or local authorities;

OR

2.  Clear evidence that you are on assignment from a specific news organization or publication. This applies to all freelancers, including photographers. A valid assignment letter from that news organization, or publication, is required. Photographic agencies must provide clear evidence from a client news organization or publication.

Badge Pickup

Badges will be issued from the I Building Registration Desk to fully registered individuals. On-site registration is not possible in most circumstances.

Delegates should contact their Executive Director's office with questions about badge pickup. Badges will allow entry into the campus beginning on Monday, October 13.

Visas

All participants should ensure that their passports are valid for at least six months from the date of entry and should consult with the for the latest visa and entry requirements. Additional information regarding visa and travel restrictions can be found at the .

Each authorized registrant will receive a confirmation letter via email that can be used for visa application purposes. If visas are required, applications should be made as early as possible to allow sufficient time for processing.

Code of Conduct

All participants of the Spring Meetings are expected to act in accordance with the World Bank Group’s Core Values and Code of Ethics and are reminded to conduct themselves with integrity and impartiality, and to refrain from any behavior that would be inconsistent with the Code or our values. Any participants engaged in disruptive or other inappropriate behavior will have their badge revoked.

Photography, Audio and Video Recording During the World Bank Group/IMF Spring Meetings
By attending the World Bank/IMF Annual Meetings and visiting the event spaces you enter an area where photography, audio and video recording may occur. The Organizers may use photographs and/or films bearing your image to publish event-related photos and videos on website, official social media accounts (i.e. Facebook and LinkedIn), newsletters, blogs, and other reports related to the Meetings.
