The objective of this project is to analyze the economic feasibility of producing batteries and EVs in Mexico; either integrating vertically or relying on LAC partners. Accordingly; it seeks to answer four questions:1.     What are the current capabilities of Mexico to develop battery and EV value chains? How do they compare against other LAC countries?2.     To which extent can Mexico compete in the EV global market? 3.     What are the barriers to strengthening mining and manufacturing capabilities; and reaching higher value-added segments?4.     What are key policy recommendations moving forward?
