** BY INVITATION ONLY ** The weeklong program focuses on key issues in urban mobility offering a comprehensive understanding of urban transport challenges and policy approaches. Participants will explore topics such as strategic planning, financing, governance, electric mobility, integrated transport and land use planning through case studies, discussions, group work and expert insights. While the site visits will provide firsthand exposure to real-world applications.

16-20 June, 2025

LUTP: Dakar, Senegal

LUTP Dakar brings together policymakers and planners and industry experts to explore strategis for improving and modernizing city bus services. Key topics include planning for bus Rapid Transit (BRT) systems, electrification of public bus systems, involvement of the private sector, fare fixation, replacement of old buses.

Kathmandu
February 9- 14, 2025

LUTP: Kathmandu, Nepal

The workshop is tailored to the learning needs of the audience and covers a wide range of urban transport challenges. The workshop dive into topics such as planning for urban transport, funding and financing for long-term sustainability of transport infrastructure and services, electric mobility.

LUTP: Quito, Ecuador

The workshop hosted in Quito from December 9 to the 13th focuses on planning for hierarchically integrated mobility systems and metro rail systems. LUTP Quito covers topics such as financing metro systems, transit-oriented development (TOD), deployment of ITS, and historic city redesign for metro systems.

LUTP: Arusha, Tanzania

The workshop tackles the transport challenges in secondary cities which limit the economic development and quality of life of the citizens. The workshop explores options such as designing public bus networks and formalizing informal services.

LUTP 2024 Completed Workshops

From June to December 2024 the LUTP team and its partners delivered 6 workshops training 205 participants. All sessions hosted in Honiara, Solomon Islands; Suva, Fiji; Seoul, Korea; The Hague, Netherlands, Arushga, Tanzania, Quito, Ecuador received glowing reviews from participants and there continues to be high demand for the engagement.
